For instance, I have been impressed with @aquickspoonful’s easy-to-follow and delicious dump cake recipes and videos. I can understand why she and her dump cakes are Internet famous!
If you’d like to make a quick and easy dessert that’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser, check out this pecan bar dump cake recipe. It’s perfect for fall or any time of the year. Just be sure to save a piece for yourself before serving. Serve with vanilla ice cream.

Ingredients
- 2 packages (16 ounces each) refrigerated sugar cookie dough
- 1 tub (15.5 ounces) coconut pecan frosting
- 8 ounces chopped pecans
- 1 box (15 ounces) vanilla cake mix
- 1 1/2 sticks butter, cut into pieces
Here’s how to make it:
- Add the sugar cookie dough to a 13x9-inch baking pan. Smoosh it to cover the bottom. Cover with frosting and chopped pecans. Top with cake mix. Don’t mix it! Top with the butter in rows.
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
