How to Keep Your Houseplants Green with a Used H2O Bottle by Jennifer Pereyra
Planning a trip but don’t want to return home to wilted plants? You could call a neighbor and ask her to water them for you or you could even buy one of the available self-watering systems, but try this instead. Save up a few used plastic water bottles and fill them with water. Press the open top down into the soil and voila! As oxygen releases from the drying soil water will be released from the bottle. Larger plants to water? Find a 2 liter bottle and follow the same process as above. Now how’s that for recycling and keeping your environment green at the same time?
