Felt App: How to Write & Send Letters & Cards Using This Fun App! by Sheri B Doyle

Like Jessica Acree, I too love a handwritten letter or card. I love sending them even more. The first time I was going to be out of the States for more than four months I went to the store and bought cards for all of the holidays I would miss. I wrote in them and sent them along with a message on the envelope not to open until whatever day the card was for. I accomplished my goal of continuing to write cards, but it felt weird to bulk mail them and then ask someone to wait months to open it.

Luckily, I found an app called Felt. Felt allows you to choose from hundreds of styles and themes or upload your own image. The back of the card is blank. Here you can type a message, or better yet, write one with your finger on your smartphone. Once you are happy with your message you add the addresses, either by typing or writing, then pay for the card and the postage and Felt takes care of the rest.

I love the convenience of being able to choose great cards and have them mailed for about $3 per card. Recently, Felt has added the option of sending gifts, flowers, money or gift cards with your order. You can set birthday reminders or schedule cards to send on specific days all while continuing the tradition of a handwritten note or card.
