Do you have one of those friends who always makes you laugh, and you just love being around? One of those for me is Belinda Lichty Clarke, a 30Seconds contributor and mom of two who I've known for 20 years (say what?!). I've had the pleasure of working with Belinda at various times throughout our careers, ever since we both graduated with our master's degrees from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, where Belinda currently works as the Director of Alumni Relations and Engagement.

Belinda's career has spanned public relations, corporate communications, magazine and website publishing. She even served as a Senior Editor for my previous company, iParenting Media (which I sold to Disney), where she worked on our iParenting.com website as well as Pregnancy and Women’s Health and Fitness magazines. 

In addition to her work for Medill, Belinda runs a beauty blog, My Fave Beauty, where she shares her top product picks. You also can find her beauty tips and product picks on our Beauty channel. 

I was so excited to sit down with Belinda over a glass of wine on #30Seconds Live to chat about her career in journalism, and her focus on the beauty beat. There was lots of reminiscing, and even more laughs, as she shared her story and her passion for beauty with us.
