I used to be into fast fashion, but realized that most trendy, inexpensive garments lasted only a few washes. I have started to invest in my clothing and want to make sure it lasts as long as possible. Here are my top four tips to keep your clothes looking lovely:
- Cleaner Detergent: Does your detergent leave sticky, dirt-magnet residue on your clothing? I use Cleancult, which is green and non-toxic.
- Go Gentle: I use a lingerie bag to wash more things than just my intimates, especially items with embellishments.
- Drying Rack: Air drying is your best friend! It saves energy and wear and tear on your garments.
- Steam It: Invest in a steamer to get wrinkles out- they are easier on clothing and won't singe.
