World Book Day is a celebration of authors, illustrators, books and reading, observed in 100 countries. The goal of World Book Day in the U.K. and Ireland is to provide children with a book of their own, thanks to “book tokens,” and encourage them to explore the wonders of reading. Most countries will celebrate in March. Anyone who loves books can participate.
